The checklists can be hard to read (very small font and lots of lines) and use when printed, here are some small changes that would make a huge difference to their usability:
  • On the daily food chart there is the option to adjust row height, it would be very helpful to have this as an option on all the other charts (or the option to increase font size). At present they are hard to read, especially the nappy change checklist.
  • When the checklists appear on my screen I can see there is faint shading to make it easier to see across rows, but unfortunately this doesn't print (perhaps just a bit too faint?) it would be very helpful if it did appear on the printed checklists. When you are ticking off a full page of narrow rows and columns it can be hard to follow across and tick the correct children.
  • It would be very helpful to have a daily staff sign off sheet with hours, lunch and non-contact and not just a weekly one. As staff call in sick and we have to record as sick and add relievers and change non-contact this form really isn't fit for purpose. I can send an example of a manual one we create if this helps to understand what's required. This is for funding and must be 100% correct and have full signatures of all staff.
