Closing out all "Unverified" EAV for a Child who has left the Centre

Dory - Discover Support
At Discover, we received a request "for services to have the ability to mark EAV as done for a specific child, for example when a child has left and the parent has not verified". We'd like to open this up for your valuable insight. Please leave your comments and upvote if this would be an important feature for you. Top feature requests (based upon number of votes) will be reviewed by the Discover Team each quarter as we aim to prioritise your requests into our annual roadmap.

So important to give parents a chance to verify the EAV for a period after the child's leaving date. Great feature request Tami!

We need to have a 'window' where our whaanau can verify attendance once a child leaves, if still outstanding. We are recommending a timeframe of 28 days before the access pin drops off, this will allow us time to contact caregivers to request verification. We can evidence the attempts made to have attendance verified which should meet audit requirements. We currently need to either re-enter a new pin or reset password so whaanau can log into their home app, then remove once done - all manual administration. WKA and EEW Waikato.

This would be a great tool for Leaders to have available.

Yes please… we are new to electronic verification but we do have children who leave from time to time who don’t do this. If we need to attach evidence that we have tried to follow them up, this would be useful information to have as well. We didn’t realise…

I support and vote for this initiative to be prioritised. It will enable clean record keeping and reporting which is integral to a good software system.

Documenting an unverified EAV record by adding comments in the Attendance screen in Discover and adding parent emails in pdf format in the Child Notes section in Discover will create a good evidence trail of the Centre's efforts in preparation for an MoE Financial Audit. However, it would then mean that those unverified attendance exceptions will turn up in their EAV reporting as unverified forever. Is there a way we can close them out, so they don’t continue to appear as unverified in their regular reporting on that? Thank you.

Dory - Discover Support we print out and make families who refuse to do it digitally sign off with a physical signature so it would also be good to have options when closing them out eg: family have left centre or physical signature captured
