Enrolment form - leaving date and leaving reason

Is it possible to have the leaving date automatically set as the child's 5th birthday, and the leaving reason automatically set as going to school? The bulk of our children leave when they are of school age, so this would save a little time at the admin end. We can then just adjust the actual leaving date once this is known as this will depend on what school the child will be attending.

Would prefer to keep the leave date open or set if for their 6th birthday, but please remove the pre-selected 'Financial' reason for leaving. It would be better to just leave the box empty so we are prompted to select from the drop-down options when loading the leave date. The way its set-up at the moment, amending the reason for leaving can easily be overlooked giving incorrect data.

Would be better if it's set to their sixth birthday when they actually have to leave. We often have children leave after their fifth birthday due to cohort entry requirements into school, or school holidays. We confirm actual leaving date four months before fifth birthday and make adjustments as necessary.

Don't do this. We have children that leave after their 5th birthday, due to the timing of school holidays

Would love to see the default reason for leaving being "financial" changed to "going to school" but also keen to see the age left open as very rarely to our children leave exactly on their 5th birthday.

I think a few months grace after 5th Birthday, you don't want to be scrambling to find space if a family decides to go past their 5th Birthday due to school holidays or a Closedown Period over Christmas.

This would be a great idea and very helpful for our centre.

We are a homebased provider I would prefer leaving age default to remain the same and not change. We have a lot of our children if they stay with us to school age may choose to start school at beginning of school terms or till they turn 6. We have notice some schools are now having specific intake dates now thru out year so over 5 likely.

We are seeing a trend of children staying after 5 and this would cause problems for forecasting. I prefer it stays as is.

I feel the automatic 5 year old date setting could create probs with forecasting and continued enrolments. Also depending on cohort entries a child may not start until later in the term. So no thank you.
Is it possible to have a centre setting where the leaving reason would be specified if preferred?

I like this idea better than the “financial” default we have on ours

Miranda Andrews you can add other reasons for them leaving, such as "going to school"
